This course offers school students a taste of what it would be like to be an Apprentice. During this course the student will cover the basic competencies of an Apprenticeship and will have the opportunity to experience practical as well as theory based work.
PEER VEET currently runs courses in Certificate I in Construction (Plumbing) and Certificate II in Electrotechnology (Career Start). The Certificate I in Construction is run over a full school year, whereas the Certificate II in Electrotechnology is completed over 2 years as Stage 1 and Stage 2. These courses are comprised of on-the-job and off-the-job training for school students in Years 11 and 12.
