Course Aim
The content of this course is designed to educate participants in dealing with hazards and risks encountered in the workplace. It also includes the basic principles of safety and CPR. It has been taken directly from the Electrotechnology National Training Package and supports the development of essential skills required for electrical safety.

This module discusses the Occupational Health & Safety issues in regards the following:
- Legal Requirements
- Requirements for personal safety
- Workplace hazards
- Working with electrically operated tools and equipment
- Emergency first aid/resuscitation (CPR)
Pre-Requisites
- There are no pre-requisites required for this module.
Structure
- This course is offered in class and via correspondence. It contains theory, practical and assessment components.
Students will need the following
- Pens/pencils
- Paper
- Comfortable clothing (for CPR component)
