Course Aim
This course provides the required skills to use and interpret the AS/NZS 3000:2007 Wiring Rules, testing procedures for new, commercial, industrial and domestic electrical installations in accordance with AS/NZS3017 and OHS ACT and regulations in order to apply for your Electrical Workers Registration.

- 56 hours (plus out of hours personal study time)
Course Content
- Scope and Fundamental Safety Principles
- Selection and installation of switchgear and controlgear
- Selection and installation of wiring systems
- Installation of appliances and accessories
- Earthing arrangements and earthing conductors
- Testing and verification
- Requirements for special electrical installations or locations
Pre-Requisites
- Electrical Workers Registration (Australian Expired) OR
- Equivalent overseas Electrical Licence OR
- Electrical Industry experience / personnel
Students will need the following
- Personal current copy of Australian Standards; AS-NZS 3000:2007, AS/NZS 3012:2003, AS-NZS 3008.1.1 & AS-NZS 3017
- Personal current copy of the ETSA Utilities - Service and Installation Rules
- An electronic calculator (with square root function)
- Pen/pencil
