Solar PV Design

Course Aim

Due to increased demand in South Australia for Photovoltaic installations, PEER VEET will be offering Training for the Design of Solar PV Grid Connected Systems. This training will be available for licensed electricians who have completed the “Install Grid Connected Photovoltaic Systems” course. Government subsidies are available for the course dates below.

Course Content

  • (UEENEEK035C) Design Grid Connected Power Supply Systems

“This unit forms part of the requirements for the Clean Energy Council accreditation for Design Grid Connected Solar PV Power Systems.”

Further details on the accreditation process along with other requirements for accreditation can be found on the website for the Clean Energy Council (CEC) www.cleanenergycouncil.org.au

All students are encouraged to make themselves familiar with the full accreditation process prior to enrolment.

Pre-requisites

This is not a stand-alone course. The following pre-requisites are mandatory

  • UEENEEK025C Solve Basic Problems in Photovoltaic Energy Apparatus (Day 1&2 of PEER Install course)

Students will need to purchase/bring following:

  • AS/NZS 3000:2007
  • AS/NZS 3008:2009
  • ETSA Utilities Service & Installation Rules
  • Calculator
  • Pen/Pencil, notebook, ruler
  • Text book “Grid-Connected PV Systems Design and Installation” by GSES.
  • A home electricity account
