Course Aim

This course aims to provide plumbers with the knowledge and skills to safely carry out the disconnection, connection and testing to electrical appliances in accordance with Legislation and AS3000:2000.

Duration

• 16 hours

Course Content

At the end of the course the participant should be able to:

• Interpret installation requirements of AS3000:2000
• Connect, disconnect and reconnect electrical hot water systems
• Identify safe testing procedures
• Carry out self testing to the requirements of AS3000:2000

On successful completion you will be issued a statement of attainment which you can take to the Office of Consumer & Business Affairs for application of a restricted electrical licence.

Pre-Requisites

Students must be either:

• A qualified Plumber, or 

• A fourth year Plumbing Apprentice.  This course is available in class only and will involve theory, practical and assessment.
