Course Aim
This course aims to provide a recognised qualification for tradesmen, technicians and engineers working in the Electrotechnology Industry who have a requirement in their day to day employment to remove and re-install fixed wired equipment which uses up to 415V AC. This course provides the knowledge and skills required in accordance with legislative requirements, AS3000 and OHS&W Act and Regulations.

Training is conducted to meet the requirements of UTE NES208 Disconnect and reconnet fixed wired electrical equipment connected to supply up to 1000 volts a.c. or 1,500 volts d.c. This is done via modules NRE01. The course of study addresses the following criteria:
- Occupational Health and Safety issues
- Electrical safety
- Basic electrical principles and cable connections
- Disconnection/Reconnection
- Flexible cables and plugs to 250 volts
- Flexible cables and plugs to 1000 volts
- Status reports using established procedures
Pre-Requisites
It is recommended that you contact the Office of Consumer and Business Affairs (OCBA) prior to the start of the course to determine your eligibility to gain a licence.
