PEER VEET congratulates Damien Thomas, a PEER VEET Plumbing Apprentice hosted to Jordan Plumbing who was successful in Winning the South Australian DUX Plumbing Apprentice for 2008. Last years SA State DUX winner for 2007 was Michael Ness who was also a PEER Apprentice hosted to Daryl White Plumbing. This is two years in a row that a PEER Apprentice has been successful in winning the State Section of this National Award. This reflects the dedication of our Apprentices and the high calibre of PEER's training staff and employees. It is evident that the Apprentices coming through PEER's ranks will one day become very skilled tradespeople in the South Australian Plumbing Industry.
The Dux Plumbing Apprentice of the Year Award was established so that Dux could recognise and reward the efforts of Plumbing Apprentices around Australia. Judges look for an all-rounder, not only someone who has a high academic record but an Apprentice with good skills, an enthusiastic attitude and a commitment to their career.
