The South Australian Training Awards held on 4 September 2009 saw GTA SA members take out some of the major gongs on the night. Ryan Coats, Certificate 3 in Electrotechnology (PEER VEET) was named Apprentice of the Year.

The Australian Government Nation Building Projects will bring a welcome relief for many contractors within the Building and Construction Industry in South Australia. On a positive note, the clause in the contract that requires 10% of the labour to be made up of apprentices and trainees will help to keep them employed and continue with their training and ultimately achieve their qualifications.
In these uncertain times, contractors may not be in a position to employ their own apprentices, nor do they want to be hassled with the long term contracts and endless administration that goes along with employing apprentices. PEER VEET can provide a solution for employers.

PEER VEET Annual Graduation & Awards Presentation - Tuesday 5 May 2009

In front of a crowd of some 350 industry representatives, sponsors, families, fellow apprentices and special guests, 150 PEER VEET Apprentices and Trainees celebrated the completion of their Apprenticeships and Traineeships. Annual Awards were also presented to apprentices and trainees for outstanding performance during their training. The Annual Award Ceremony was held on Tuesday 5 May 2009 at AAMI Function Centre. Annual Awards were also presented to apprentices for outstanding performance during their apprenticeship.
