Recruitment & Selection

Application Process

Written application from applicant including school reports, work experience reports and work history.

Pre-Selection Testing

Applicants are invited to undertake a pre-selection test.

Successful applicants are invited to attend an interview.  Unsuccessful applicants are advised that they can apply after three months have passed.

Interview

Applicants are interviewed.  They have the opportunity to enter a Pre-Apprenticeship Program offered by PEER VEET or they may go straight into an Apprenticeship/Traineeship.  Once again, unsuccessful applicants are advised they can re-apply after three months.

Medical Examination (Prior to Offer of Employment)

Successful applicants from the interview processes are requested to undertake a medical examination.  The aim of this examination is to verify the applicant's ability to meet the Occupational Health and Safety based compliance and any other requirement prescribed for the range of occupations that PEER VEET is involved in.

Employment/Induction

Once an "Offer of Employment" has been made and accepted, the applicant is required to attend an induction to complete the Contract of Training and all other relevant paperwork and receive their uniform, safety equipment and tool kit.
