- A minimum of Year 11 (SACE Stage 1).
- Passes in English, Maths (Advanced or Applied), Science (Physics / Chemistry).
- Technical studies or vocational education an advantage.
- A fondness for practical work and an ability to work with your hands.
- Physical fitness.
- Willingness to work at heights.
- Willingness to work in confined places.
- Good presentation and communication skills.
- Be keen and enthusiastic with a desire to learn while you work.
- Current Drivers Licence and own transportation beneficial.

- Good computer literacy.
- Keyboard skills.
- Minimal office admininistration work experience.
- Be keen and enthusiastic with a desire to learn while you work.
- Current Drivers Licence and own transportation beneficial.
Initial Application
The first step in applying for an Apprenticeship, Traineeship or pre-vocational program through PEER VEET is to submit a letter of application and a copy of your resume stating the vocation you are interested in.
This can be done by completing our online ‘Registration of Interest Form’, emailing your application to mail@peer.com.au, or submitting your application in person to PEER VEET located at:

Group Information Session, Aptitude Test, PEER VEET Application Form
All applicants who meet PEER VEET’s minimum standards will then be invited to proceed to the next step of a group information session, aptitude testing and the completion of PEER VEET’s Application for Apprenticeship & Traineeship Form.
Confidentiality of aptitude testing will be maintained with results being available only to the applicant.

This information session will take approx 2 hours in length including the aptitude testing.
Unsuccessful applicants are welcome to re-apply after a 3 month waiting period.
Interview
Applicants who successfully pass the aptitude test will then be invited to attend an interview with PEER VEET.

Pre-Vocational Program
PEER VEET offers many Pre-Apprenticeship programs that can provide pathways to an Apprenticeship and Traineeship with both PEER VEET and private employers.
These are fully funded programs and, therefore, NO FEES apply. Students are only required to ensure they have safety boots for work experience.

Pre-Employment Medical
Successful interviewees will be notified and informed of a date for a pre employment medical.
Offer of Employment
All offers of employment will be made to successful candidates in writing. The letter will include, as a minimum, projected start dates and induction training date and details.
Written confirmation of their acceptance of the apprenticeship will be requested within two working days.
Information Evenings
Information evenings are held (whenever possible) prior to commencing employment with PEER VEET. All successful applicants and parents and/or guardians are encouraged to attend, however, this is particularly important for those under the age of 18 years.
Commence Apprenticeship/Induction
All Apprentices must attend Induction Training.
During the course of the Induction Training, all participants must complete an Apprentice Induction Form, which has all the information necessary for each Administration Department, Contract of Training and other relevant paperwork.
Safety Clothing is issued which is recorded and tools are supplied to each individual Apprentice prior to start date.
